چکیده
ABSTRACT We have calculated the energy levels, oscillator strengths, and transition probabilities for eight carbon-like ions (Na vi, Mg vii, Al viii, Si ix, P x, S xi, Cl xii Ar xiii) using Hartree–Fock pseudo-relativistic (HFR) Thomas–Fermi–Dirac–Amaldi (TFDA) approaches. used configuration expansions containing configurations, namely 2s2 2p2, 2s 2p3, 2p 3s, 3p, 3d, 4s, 4p, 5s. For each of considered we obtained 59 a number which are not in National Institute Standards Technology (NIST) data base. compared our results with critically selected experimental from NIST calculations made multiconfiguration (MCHF) method. weighted strengths two methods (HFR TFDA) 2p2 2p3 configurations C-like here. analysed atomic structure parameter trends, allowed us to find missing belonging an isoelectronic sequence. The here good agreement Because emission absorption features often density temperature diagnostics various plasmas astrophysics, studies solar corona, including flares, coronae other stars ionized outflows active galactic nuclei etc., will be useful improving plasma modelling, particular X-ray Universe.

Atomic lifetimes and transition probabilities in boron-like (Na VII) and beryllium-like (Na VIII) sodium ions
Spectra and decay curves of boron-like (Na VII) and beryllium-like (Na VIII) sodium ions produced by beam-foil excitation have been recorded in the 30–60 nm spectral range and the radiative lifetimes of seven n = 2 levels have been measured. The experimental results are compared with the available theoretical values and with new results obtained in the framework of two theoretical approaches: t...

This study focus on the preparation of two supports including activated carbon derived from medlar and Palladium nanoparticles loaded on activated carbon (Pd-NP-AC). Subsequently, both adsorbent modified with a novel Schiff base chelating agent and their potential applicability for determination of trace amounts of metal ions from aqueous solution has been investigated. The method is based on c...
متن کاملAtomic Data for Astrophysics. I. Radiative Recombination Rates for H-like, He-like, Li-like, and Na-like Ions over a Broad Range of Temperature
We present new calculations and analytic ts to the rates of radiative recombination towards H-like, He-like, Li-like and Na-like ions of all elements from H through Zn (Z = 30). The ts are valid over a wide range of temperature, from 3 K to 10 9 K.
متن کاملAtomic structure of carbon nanotubes from scanning tunneling microscopy
The atomic structure of a carbon nanotube can be described by its chiral angle and diameter and can be specified by a pair of lattice indices (n ,m). The electronic and mechanical properties are critically dependent on these indices. Scanning tunneling microscopy ~STM! is a useful tool to investigate carbon nanotubes since the atomic structure as well as the electronic properties of individual ...
متن کاملInduction of cancer stem-like cells in A549 cells after exposure to carbon ions and X-rays
Background: Cancer stem-like cells (CSCs) play a crucial role in the initiation, progression, and recurrence of cancer. Evidence indicates that the high linear energy transfer (LET) carbon ion beam is more effective against CSCs than the conventional X-ray beam. Carbon ion radiotherapy is considered as a promising cancer strategy, however, information about whether, or not, new CSCs are induced...
